The brief
As Oakley successfully delivered the storage POD project at the South Kirby site, The Ice Co Storage & Logistics’ trusted Oakley for the next stage of their expansion taking place at their Newcastle site.
Opportunity had been identified to transform redundant office space into a brand new chill store. With this in mind, The Ice Co turned to Oakley to provide a turnkey package to ensure it was kept within their budget and delivered seamlessly throughout.
Our solution
Using Oakley for this project meant that all aspects from project scoping and design through to handover were covered by one trusted, competent partner. This was important as it meant The Ice Co’s directors were given complete peace of mind enabling day-to-day operations to continue as normal.
Some of the elements that were involved in this project were PIR white walling, refrigeration equipment, PIR doors, rapid roll door, electrical supplies and armco protection.
Summary
With this project now complete The Ice Co have successfully relocated into their new offices and have a new chill store to better serve their customers. We continue to have a valuable relationship with The Ice Co, and it has been a delight to support them with their expansion plans as they continue to lead the way in the UK cold chain logistics market.
