The brief
Master Catering is a donor kebab manufacturing company based in Port Talbot who supply award winning donor meat to kebab shops all over the UK.
To keep up with increasing demand they were in desperate need of a larger production facility. Master Catering secured a new unit nearby which gave them plenty of scope for future expansion. However, this site was an empty industrial unit, requiring full fitout to be ready for production. With Dogan the owner heavily involved in running and growing the business, the management of the expansion project alongside this would have proved detrimental.
Our solution
Oakley was chosen as the partner for this project as we offered exactly what Master Catering were looking for – a full turnkey solution from design through to handover. The scope of works included civils and drainage, resin flooring, white wall paneling, lighting and electrics, refrigeration and M&E. In addition, we were able to bring in practical experience and expertise to foresee elements that would have caused issues further down the line, such as sufficient drainage and fat collection facilities that would be critical due to the nature of the product.
Oakley provided Master Catering with a full detailed project scope and programme showing timings of work phases right through to handover. This gave them confidence knowing that the project was being delivered on time and allowed them to plan ahead for operations to relocate with minimal disruption.
Summary
When Master Catering approached Oakley their critical objectives were clear – to deliver a new state of the art production facility without it impacting the day to day business functions. On completion, we are delighted to say that this was achieved, with Oakley’s turnkey end to end approach allowing Dogan and the team to fully focus on the growth of Master Catering. The result – a very happy client who we look forward to working with again in the future!
