Homeplace Kitchen

Homeplace Kitchen have been manufacturing high quality Hong Kong sausage products through three generations of their family.

With their client base continually expanding, the Homeplace owners decided it was time to plan their move to a larger production facility to streamline their manufacturing process.

A new industrial unit was found and Homeplace Kitchen turned to Oakley for support in order to start designing their project with our dedicated in-house design team.

This meant a full design project handover took place before the construction phase began, to ensure all elements were well thought out, and a fixed cost and programme was provided for sign off.

Partnering with Oakley for this project meant Homeplace Kitchen could step back from the day-to-day management of the project and focus on the building and growing of their business.

The new factory includes the following facilities:

• Reception area
• Goods in fridge
• 2 walk in freezers
• Waste storage
• Sausage production room
• Finished goods storage
• Washroom facilities
• Mezzanine floor storages
• Canteen and changing room facilities
• Offices and lavatories
• Boiler room

Once the collaborative design phase had been signed off, our client was confident they could leave all elements of the project with Oakley’s experienced team.

Some of these elements included:

• Erection of mezzanine floor
• Installation of white walling
• Resin flooring and drainage
• Installation of refrigeration equipment
• Mechanical and electrical services
• Services for machinery installation 
• Laying of vinyl flooring
